First Steps as 'Chuwe Me'
Our journey began on the stage of the Panagbenga 2025 Cultural Dance Competition under the name 'Chuwe Me'. Though we did not take home the crown that year, standing before the crowd to proudly represent our ancestral Lubuagan heritage ignited a fire within us that could not be extinguished.

The Birth of Kayaw Di Umili
Driven by an unwavering passion to improve, we evolved. We reformed as the Kayaw Di Umili Cultural Ensemble. Supported by our families and local sponsors, we poured tireless effort into every rehearsal, united by a single vision to masterfully execute our Kalinga traditions.

The Grand Merit Triumph
"We stepped back onto the Panagbenga stage with hope and left as Champions. Kayaw Di Umili was awarded the Overall Highest Grand Merit for Cultural Dance. This historic victory proved what heart, unity, and deep respect for our Cordilleran roots can achieve on the grandest stage."
